IPL - The Story so far

IPL - The money-spinner, the brain-child of Lalit modi, the real fame of BCCI, the revolutionary cricket and so much being said about its success...Is it so????

It all began with the introduction of ICL - Indian cricket league initiated by Kapil Dev..The BCCI was not in a position to share powers/revenue with any of them and decided to have a bang on them, it banned them, convinced/ordered ICC to not approve them, didn't give cricket grounds and many...Despite these, the ICL went on,moderate success...

Then the BCCI came out with its own game-plan, the IPL - Indian premier league, their  brain-child????they say it...
Was IPL born to revolutionize cricket or to revolutionize the business model in cricket???

I would say the IPL revolutionized the cricket world in implementing a good business model..that has to be appreciated..thanx to the BCCI for that, which traditionally has been the money-spinner for ICC with huge business models...starting from ticket collections, advertisement hoardings and to major extent Television rights which form the major revenues..

IPL 2008 - The year in which the whole world watched in eagerness of how it is going to be???
The Auction of Players itself created the necessary hype before the Tournament, many heads-crossed of whether the IPL would have the same response of International matches....
Will it be as much like IND vs PAK or the Ashes...

But thanx to the Franchisees, who have played a major part...the Franchisee owners could themselves pull crowds and are very good in advertising..the Mallyas, Khans, etc...

IPL 2008 was a huge success as most of the matches saw full-stadium and thanx to the blitzkrieg provided by the Batsmen( due to Indian pitches) , Sony,etc..

Everyone earned money from the Stadium's gatekeeper to the Franchisee owners...and IPL was slated for success every year..Even magazines started comparing IPL to EPL, saying in 10 years it would match EPL in revenue, hype, fan-fare, etc...

In 2008, BCCI again proved that it was the gold mine for ICC.

Now, in 2009
IPL was expected to repeat its own tale..success story..

But things turned the other way, India heading for elections, Mumbai-attack, political reasons( Lalit modi being a friend of Vasundara Raje(BJP)), security,...it was termed that IPL wouldn't take place...or the tournament is to be truncated...

But BCCI stood firm, it wanted to conduct IPL in any means...Why??? whom else would have the heart to discard the money-spinner..So they went abroad, hoping they would have a good harvest...But no fans in the world could match an Indian crowd shouting for Dada,sachin,etc...Can they???

Even lalit modi had to play the role of S.A.Chandrasekar(Dr.Vijay's father) who always bought the tickets on his own and creating a scenario of House-full...In this case, Lalit modi flashed the news that 90% of tkts were sold within hours...Proof: The stadium, you might see the cameras always revolving around a certain section of people in the stadium...

So...What is next?????? In the upcoming Post, we would discuss more...

Hi Bondas....

Thanks all for starting such a community..........

lets us make this blog lively with some good posts.............

And here is my bonda story..........

Long long back when i was studying school i used to have bonda with my friends daily from a small banda shop near bus stand. I still remember at those time it just costs a rupee for a allu bonda and rupees three for a egg bonda....and even u get coconut chatney ( 75 % water.....u can hardly find taste of coconut. And now we get a allu bonda for rupees 3.....(Due to inflation.... )

( HISTORY :: The bonda's price has been revised often and each time the price keeps growing at steady rate..........even then people love eating bonda.........and never stop eating bonda.......(Me toooo...). This shows really shows how bonda have penetrated into our lives...... )

And coming back to my story......i actually started eating bonda when i was in tenth.....I usually go with a big gang (8)...we usually have something around 30 to 40 bandas...and when usally pay him for 25 bondas...( U know i still feel sorry for that......an im searching him to repay him).Let God bless him with all hapiness...and please forgive him...........and u know my mom hate eating in those shops.......and i was caught for couple of times.....and whenever i was caught she used to advice me a lot....and she used to give a small lecture on hygine.....And for next couple of days my mom used to cook bondas.......but still she misses the flavour of the Bonda shop....

And there came a big break to my bonda life.....Once when i went to college i had no company to go to bonda shop.........Even though i got some good friend and enjoyed a lot I felt something is missing is life...................

And then once i entered corprate i thought people hate eating food in road side shop...............and thought those beautiful bonda days will never come back..................But u know life is full of surprise..............always strange strings happen.............I found similar fire inside most of my collegues..........and started my bonda life again..................Now im enjoying bondas daily........

Lets live fo BONDA and die for BONDA

Hi hi hi !!!

Hi hi hi,
let me first thank Deepchand and co for framing this idea of starting a blogspot and giving me an opportunity to try out my hand in blogging for the first time.

Let my first blog be about the reason behind choosing the name "BONDa-pasanga". When DeepChand (affectionately called as DeepLING) suggested the idea of this blogspot, so many names flashed across our minds - IT guys, gladiator(name of the bike our Widget Visu has), Astra, terror guys and so on... Though we all in this forum have diversified ideas and thoughts, we are all united in one aspect - whatever work we are upto in a day, at around 6 in the evening, we make it a point to visit the tea kadai near our office to have our favourite snack - the"BONDA". So we all thought of giving this lip-smacking snack which we relish upon everyday a small tribute and hence the name!!! (Don't you feel the same on seeing the photo of this blogspot???)

Deepchand, i request you to include "writing film reviews" in your list of topics.

With this intro, ippodhaikku appeeeeeeet aagikkaran and apparamaa repeat aagikkaraen!!!

Steve Jobs - Rare fotos!!!

You might have mostly seen Steve in a Black T-sirt & blue Jean combination also well known as Jobsian look. But here are a few fotos in which steve looks awesome as APPLE UI..:)

This one with the co-founder Steve Wozniak...for APPLE

And this last one is terrific.. and the story for this is

Reinstated as the boss of Apple, Jobs 2.0 (shown here in 1998) emerged from hibernation with woodsman beard and hamster cheeks.

Perhaps, like George Best or Wayne Rooney going through a goalless spell, he refused to shave until he was able to drop the title of interim CEO.

Memorable Rainy Day(s)

“Early morning's bright sun shine, it seems a bit different today”- Open my little room window tells me something interesting story that this year going to be remarkably a sunny summer in Chennai  - no doubt on that, but remembering my old rainy days at my hometown make my heart filled up with drizzly and cold.

On those deliciously lazy days I am very thankful for even the smallest shower to quench the thirst of my little garden, and provide me with a break from my usual routine, to treat myself with a cup of flavored coffee/tea, and a good book with my pet dog in the stair case.

Thanks to my hometown :)

My Entry.

Oops!!! So how shall I begin my first blog? Because It's my first attempt into the world of blogging where I can share something’s to them. I'm also wondering this, while I am trying to write this blog.

Asking myself again and again what scraps that this blog will hold in my name? Should I am going to write some funny stuffs or any hidden secrets or any interesting day to day activities? Hmmm... It’s hard to decide by this stage........ So I’m giving  a  s(a)imple try with a little introduction of myself , A 26 years young chap currently living in chennai, working with Bonda boys group. As for my hobbies, I like to travel, volunteering, languages and reading.

And finally thanks to Deepchand for starting this blog... and of course thanks to other team members for choosing a crazy name. Let’s see how long we are keeping this blog alive.

I think it’s enough for this stage.... meet u guys with some more interesting stuff.
